Young Actors Guild McKinney

A nonprofit organization

The Young Actors Guild was founded in the Spring of 2009 to bring a comprehensive and affordable theatre experience to the young people of Collin County and the surrounding area. YAG offers workshops on a twice-monthly basis, covering a broad range of theatre-related topics from character work to lighting design. YAG also puts on five productions every year, which reflect many different types of theatre. Perhaps most uniquely, YAG offers young people a chance to get involved in the leadership and operation of the organization with its annually-elected Youth Board, which is responsible for managing most day-to-day goings-on with the assistance and guidance of the Adult Board.

Mission

Young Actors Guild McKinney is organized for the purpose of training and education in all aspects of theatre production and management and to be recognized as a significant cultural asset by the local community.
