Every gift helps provide exceptional training for aspiring dancers, opportunities for professional performances and outreach programs that make the beauty of ballet accessible to all.

$50 (Access) Provides one hour of dance instruction for 16 students from Title I schools in Plano ISD

$100 (Inclusion) Provides one 45 minute adaptive dance class for 12 students with disabilities

$250 (Excellence) Connects pre-professional dancers with world-class guest artists through Artist-In-Residence programs, workshops, and performance opportunities

About Chamberlain Ballet

Founded in 1984 by Kathy Chamberlain to provide pre-professional training to students embarking on careers in dance, Chamberlain Ballet, a Plano based nonprofit organization, has served thousands of students over the years in its pre-professional division and outreach programs by providing classes and performance opportunities which underscore excellence in the art of dance and serve as the catalyst for the organization in fulfilling its mission to present excellent ballet to enrich the North Texas community, enlighten with arts education and encourage through outreach programs.

Through the support of generous donors and sponsors, Chamberlain Ballet is able to stage full-scale theatrical productions for the public, provide world-class instruction and opportunities to dancers, and share the beautiful art of dance with underserved members of the North Texas community. 

Whether instilling a work ethic of will and determination in students or sparking an artistic light in a fellow community member, Chamberlain Ballet is proud to build Classical Foundations for Life®. 

Training and Performance

With your support, Chamberlain Ballet is able to offer advanced classical ballet training for pre-professional students through its Artist-In-Residence program and Community Master Class Series. Intensive workshops and master instructors provide pre-professional dancers with the skill sets required to prepare for careers on the stage and at the university level.

Chamberlain Ballet produces a complete Season of productions featuring guest artists from dance companies such as New York City Ballet, American Ballet Theatre, Noble Motion Dance, Bruce Wood Dance Dallas, and Dallas Black Dance Theatre among others while also presenting  full length productions of The Nutcracker, selections from the Family Ballet Series, and evenings of mixed repertory including contemporary works to cultural dance.

Community Connections and Programs

Through Community Connections performances, Chamberlain Ballet provides free access to professional quality performances for those from social service agencies and military families. Since beginning this program in 1991, over 41,000 individuals and families from the local community have enjoyed professional performances throughout the Season.

Additional opportunities for free performances are also available through the Community Engagement program which provide a “behind the scenes” look into the making of a ballet as well as question and answer sessions with noted choreographers.

Chamberlain Ballet is known as a powerhouse of robust Educational Outreach programs in the North Texas region, providing free dance instruction and performance opportunities to students from Title I schools in Plano ISD, children and young adults with disabilities, and movement classes for senior citizens seeking community, anti-aging therapies, and improvement from neurodegenerative conditions.
