$10,000 Goal

The Nasher is a nonprofit, community-supported art museum in the Dallas Arts District. The Nasher is home to one of the foremost collections of modern and contemporary sculpture in the world, on display throughout the museum's light-filled galleries and serene garden. Since opening in 2003, we have welcomed over 2 million visitors.

Throughout the year, the Nasher mounts one-of-a-kind exhibitions featuring both established and emerging artists. Additionally, the Nasher curates a robust array of education programs and community events - artist talks, school tours, workshops, concerts, family activities, and much more - for art-lovers and learners of all ages.

Giving Activity

Mission

The mission of the Nasher Sculpture Center is to be an international focal point and catalyst the study, installation, conservation, and appreciation of modern and contemporary sculpture.

The Nasher serves diverse audiences and seeks to engage and enrich the lives of all visitors - both in-person and virtual - by offering new perspectives on modern and contemporary culture through thought-provoking exhibitions and responsive community programs.

Needs

Your gift helps expand access to arts education experiences for students and families in North Texas.

In celebration of the Nasher Sculpture Center’s 20th Anniversary, and thanks to a generous couple, all donations up to $5,000 will be matched. This means that your contribution will have twice the impact, allowing us to achieve more together.

Education and Access Programs

Each year, thousands of students and families benefit from the Nasher's education and accessibility programs. Here are just a few:

- The Nasher welcomes hundreds of classes to the museum through our gallery teacher-led field trip program. For schools with limited budgets, we cover the cost of transportation. For schools far from Dallas, we offer virtual visits.

- The Nasher works with longtime partner Rosemont Elementary School (Dallas ISD) to provide immersive arts programming over regular visits spanning several years for dual-language students. Students graduate with an enhanced understanding of art, advanced self-expression skills, and improved language proficiency.

- Families with children who have sensory processing challenges, like those on the Autism spectrum, are invited to the Nasher for customized experiences intended to engage and nurture all types of learners.

In addition to these programs, the Nasher offers interactive workshops, art-supply kits, bilingual learning content, and other resources. In total, one-third of museum attendance is through our education and accessibility programming.

The Nasher strives to be a welcoming place for all visitors and, in that spirit, works with many community collaborators to provide meaningful arts education opportunities. Your support on North Texas Giving Day helps keep these experiences free and accessible for many and our arts community vibrant.
