The A. W. Brown Leadership Academy (AWBLA), founded in 1999, is a third-generation charter school presently serving scholars from pre-kindergarten three-year-olds through eighth grade. At A.W. Brown Leadership Academy we are committed to providing our scholars with an exceptional education that goes beyond traditional classroom learning. Our dedicated teachers and staff work tirelessly to create an environment where scholars can grow, thrive, and discover their true potential. However, our desire to provide enriched experiences, resources, and support sometimes outpaces our available resources. This is where your invaluable support can make an incredible difference.

AWBLA is located in the urban southern sector of Dallas, Texas, commonly known as Oak Cliff and serves a racially diverse body of scholars (98% African American, 1% Hispanic, and 1% Anglo). Our scholar population is predominantly comprised of moderate to low-income families, with over 86% of the scholar population considered at-risk or, what we like to say, “at-promise.” Nevertheless, many of our scholars are economically disadvantaged.

We invite you to become a part of our mission to empower young learners by contributing to A.W. Brown Leadership Academy’s efforts through one-time donations, ongoing commitments, or in-kind donations and services. Your generosity will directly impact the lives of our scholars and educators, creating a ripple effect of positive change throughout our community.

How You Can Help:

One-Time Donations: Your one-time contribution, no matter the size, will help us bridge the funding gap and provide enhanced learning opportunities for our scholars. Every dollar counts and contributes to their success.

Ongoing Commitments: Consider becoming a sustaining benefactor by making a regular monthly or yearly commitment. These consistent contributions provide stability and allow us to plan for the long term.

In-Kind Donations and Services: Your expertise, resources, and services are invaluable to us. Whether it's offering mentorship, providing materials, or sharing your skills, your support will directly impact our scholars’ growth.

As a crucial member of our community, your involvement can make a lasting difference in the lives of our scholars. Together, we can empower them to dream big and achieve greatness. Thank you for considering our appeal and for being an advocate for quality education. We look forward to welcoming you into the A.W. Brown Leadership Academy family of supporters.
