Forerunner Mentoring Program

One to one mentoring, after school programs, and family support in the name of Jesus.

Forerunner Mentoring builds relationships with local schools, churches, and partnering organizations to provide young men in our community with one to one mentoring relationships, faith-based after school programs, and family support in the name of Jesus.

We envision a day when:

• Every boy in Lake Highlands has a consistent and godly father-figure in their life.
• Every mom in Lake Highlands feels supported, encouraged, and celebrated.
• Every volunteer finds joy and purpose in showing up, building up, and sharing Christ with their neighbors.
• Every church in Lake Highlands finds practical ways to help single moms and their families truly belong.
• Every program we provide gives boys a roadmap to become men of God and vision to lead their future families.

OUR NORTH TEXAS GIVING DAY CAMPAIGN IS FOCUSED ON MEETING NEEDS IN THE FOLLOWING AREAS:

Safety is our priority. We operate five Forerunner vans to transport boys to after-school clubs, field trips, and camps. It's time to replace our van tires and an maintenance overhaul to ensure safe transportation.

Our grant for providing snacks was not renewed this year. Will you help feed our students during our elementary and middle school after-school clubs and Thrive, our high school gathering?

We're all about building relationships among our Forerunner boys, their moms and families, their mentors, and volunteers. These monthly and quarterly events build community, provide respite and support, and enable lasting friendships. Your contribution helps create spaces for connection and growth.

The last few years have been incredibly challenging for our Forerunner moms. Job loss, evictions, illnesses, domestic abuse, food insecurity, inflation, and other short-term needs have increased. Your donation will directly support families in crisis, providing a lifeline when they need it most.
