Where Your Gift Goes on North Texas Giving Day

This year, your donation to Forerunner Mentoring will directly support some of our most essential and fast-growing programs. Every dollar helps meet real, immediate needs for the fatherless boys and families we serve in Lake Highlands.

Mentor Program Expansion — $60,000

We’re preparing to serve 200 boys during the 2025–26 school year—but we only have 100 active mentors. Mentoring is the heartbeat of Forerunner. To match every boy with a godly father figure, we must recruit, vet, and train 100 more men.

Your gift fuels:

• Background checks and safety training for new mentors
• Ongoing support for all active mentor matches
• Events and initiatives that promote the health of each mentor match

Every boy deserves someone who shows up. You can help make that happen.

Moms & Family Dinners: $25,000

Single mothers often face loneliness, stress, and instability. Our regular gatherings give them hope and community.

Your gift supports:

• Monthly First Tuesday dinners
• Quarterly retreats for connection and renewal
• Seasonal Bible studies for spiritual encouragement

Friendship, faith, and support—this is how families thrive.

Middle School After-School Club Growth: $20,000

We expected 50 boys in our after-school programs at Forest Meadow and Lake Highlands Middle Schools...but ended up with 74! We expect even more this school year.

Your gift will provide:

• More coaches and volunteer support at program
• Program supplies and equipment
• Resources to ensure no boy is turned away

After-School Snacks: $20,000

Every afternoon, boys come straight from school. A healthy snack calms, nourishes, and prepares them to fully engage at Forerunner.

You’ll help:

• Provide daily snacks for every boy
• Create a setting where boys can focus, learn, and grow
