Fossil Rim Wildlife Center is a nonprofit conservation center on 1,800 acres in Glen Rose, Texas, home to more than 1,100 animals representing 50+ species. Since 1984, Fossil Rim has worked to protect species in need through breeding, research, and reintroduction programs that span the globe. We are the world's leading producer of the endangered Attwater's prairie chicken, a founding member of the International Rhino Foundation, and home to award-winning cheetah and black-footed cat programs.
Visitors from the DFW Metroplex and surrounding communities can experience this conservation work up close through a scenic drive in their own vehicle, a guided tour, or an overnight stay at The Lodge. Every dollar donated helps sustain it all: caring for animals, funding research, and running programs that are changing the future for wildlife.
"We create a better future for wildlife through our passion, place, and partnerships."
Through our efforts, Fossil Rim creates meaningful experiences that inspire people to think, feel, and act differently in their relationship with nature.
