The Fannie C. Harris Youth Center is a first-of-its-kind center offering support to unsheltered Dallas ISD high school students and other homeless youth ages 14-21. The center operates a drop-in center in South Dallas, where homeless youth can find refuge, a place to study, eat, shower, and access other immediate support services. The shelter component provides 35 sleeping rooms and other social services for homeless youth in Dallas ISD.

After8toEducate ("After8") is a first-of-its-kind public-private collaborative to support unsheltered high school youth in Dallas, bringing together community resources to reduce the number of young adults experiencing homelessness and foster self-sufficiency.
After8toEducate offers an umbrella solution to allow unsheltered high school students to develop academically, emotionally, and socially to ultimately live healthy and productive lives. In collaboration with the Dallas Independent School District and Community Council of Greater Dallas, After8 provides a three-pillar program at the Fannie C. Harris Youth Center. This program addresses the needs of high school students experiencing housing insecurity in DISD.
Homeless youth in Dallas deserve the opportunity to complete their education without worrying about where they will sleep and where they will get their next meal. So, After8toEducate is implementing a research-based, coordinated services framework for homeless youth.
We hope you will join us as we provide the quarterback role for unique collaboration of services that allow homeless youth to develop academically, emotionally, and socially to ultimately live healthy and productive lives.
