$150,000 Goal

Thanks to you, CitySquare is a force for good. CitySquare provides solutions for housing, food, and health services, touching the lives of more than 50,000 people each year.

More than 300,000 people live in poverty in Dallas. CitySquare's mission is to change that.

  • On any given day in Dallas, about 4,500 individuals experience homelessness or housing instability. As one of the largest public housing facilitators in North Texas, last year we housed or provided supportive services to 500 neighbors.
  • Our grocery store-style pantry welcomes about 14,000 unique visitors a year, who access 2.7 million pounds of nutritious food.
  • We know the connection between health, housing, and food is paramount to breaking the cycle of poverty. Our outreach staff provides education on health access and insurance, as well as the importance of having a primary care doctor to 12,000 neighbors each year.

Because of the generosity of our supporters, donors, and 3,000 volunteers, we are able to alleviate food insecurity, promote health equity, and provide housing for our community's most vulnerable.

Mission

CitySquare fights the causes and effects of poverty through service, advocacy, and friendship.

For nearly 35 years, CitySquare has been one of the most effective human services organizations in Dallas. Working together with neighbors and external partners, CitySquare fights to help everyone have access to the basic human rights we all deserve.

Needs

CitySquare believes everyone has a role in the fight against poverty. You can join and make a difference by donating or volunteering.

CitySquare provides services to ensure every neighbor has access to their basic needs.

1) Housing Solutions: Every neighbor obtains and maintains permanent and affordable housing.

2) Food Access: Every neighbor has accessible, affordable, and healthy food.

3) Health Equity: Every neighbor is connected to a healthcare provider and social support.

Equity Statement

CitySquare is committed to fighting systemic racism, inequity, exclusion and injustice as root causes of poverty, as well as continually learning from the community members most impacted by a lack of DEI. These voices guide CitySquare toward being a multi-cultural, anti-racist and inclusive organization.
