We give wonderful second chances to homeless dogs who might otherwise not survive. We make families happy and often make a huge difference in their lives by matching them with the right dog, who often becomes the love of their life.

Our Needs

The majority of our funds are spent on veterinary care, with veterinary costs always on the rise. Other costs are boarding, when we are short on foster space, and grooming. Therefore monetary donations are needed to meet the needs of our homeless dogs. DFW Tzus and More Rescue is always in need of loving foster homes who are willing to treat their fosters as cherished family pets. We also need transporters who are willing to pick up at area shelters and deliver to vet clinic, as well as transport to adoption events when needed. Good quality foods and treats are always appreciated, as well as dog beds. DFW Tzus in an ALL volunteer organization with no salaries or personal expenses paid.

Mission

Our mission is to match homeless Shih Tzu, Lhasa Apsos, and furry mixes with loving, forever homes, and give these animals a second chance at a new life. We try to prevent senseless euthanasia. After providing immediate medical care, vaccinations, heart worm testing, and spay/neuter, rescued dogs are brought into temporary foster care where they receive the same love and attention as a family pet. We educate the public about importance of spay/neuter/ vaccinations.
