EMBRACE Action

We are a grassroots organization, formed in June 2020 by three Frisco moms of school-aged kids. We promote anti-bias awareness and action providing educational tools and resources to communities. Our vision is one where communities engage in the active process of identifying and confronting inequities and  work together to challenge and change systems, structures, policies, practices, and attitudes. 

Our Needs

Your donation supports EMBRACE ACTION in catalyzing the movement for equity through advancing justice in our communities, policies, institutions, and culture.

Your donation will help promote our organization's programming, including the EMBRACE Reading Program and EMBRACE Workshop Series.

Through the Embrace Reading program, we advocate for representation and equity in our public schools' literacy programs by providing age appropriate books that reflect the diversity of our communities. Embrace Reading seeks to create an environment that allows all children to see themselves and also to embrace educating themselves on experiences that are different than their own through reading. Embrace Reading leverages literature to teach empathy and understanding that is core to inclusion.

The Embrace Workshops are a series of trainings and presentations for individuals and organizations who would like to increase their knowledge of and adopt strategies to address structural inequalities. The Embrace Workshops are aimed at providing participants with an opportunity to view issues through a lens of equity, and providing an overall framework for individuals and communities to develop and implement action plans.
