TREC Community Fund is an affiliate of The Real Estate Council ("TREC"), a trade organization of more than 2,200 commercial real estate professionals and 625 companies, and The Real Estate Council Foundation ("TREC Foundation"), the philanthropic arm of TREC. Through TREC Community Fund and TREC Foundation, members provide clients pro bono or low-cost technical assistance in the areas of architecture, engineering, construction, title, project financial feasibility, and development services. TREC CF's Target Market ("TM") includes an investment area of 259 census tracts throughout Dallas and Collin counties, as well as a Low-Income Targeted Population in Dallas County, home to the city of Dallas (pop. 1.4 million).

As a real estate lender, our investments can transform a street, block, or neighborhood. Our capital can spur the creation of safe, healthy affordable homes and apartments, good jobs, and greater access to quality childcare, healthcare, and education. To increase its impact, TREC CF recognizes it must become a stronger institution, capable of long-term self-sustainability. During this critical time, obtaining funding is essential to TREC CF's evolution as one of the only CDFI's in the Dallas area focusing on commercial real estate projects that benefit LMI communities.
Mission
The Real Estate Council Community Fund ("TREC CF") believes supporting communities and rebuilding local economies takes innovative solutions. Founded in 2011 as a 501(c)3 and designated as a Community Development Financial Institution ("CDFI") in 2012, TREC CF provides non-profit and for-profit organizations in Dallas and Collin Counties access to capital through loans, and technical assistance for commercial real estate projects benefiting low-to-moderate income families and their communities. As one of the only CDFIs solely targeting real estate projects in the Dallas area, TREC CF offers the tools individuals and organizations need to build the community they envision, and addresses the gaps in community development financing in low-to-moderate (LMI) neighborhoods.
