With the generous support of the community, BikeDFW is able to serve as a central hub for cyclists to find and engage with local cycling communities, increase access to cycling education, and advocate for better infrastructure and amenities for a safer and more enjoyable cycling experience.
Our three core funding needs are:
1. Light it Up Program: Providing free bike light sets to the community to ensure a safer cycling experience for all
2. Education Fund: This fund supports BikeDFW's scholarships for classes and allows us to grow and expand cyclist educational offerings, both virtually and in person
3. Infrastructure Fund: Expanding access to bike lanes, bike parking, fix it stations, and other bicycle amenities
Our Needs
BikeDFW is a volunteer-led organization that relies on the community to accomplish our mission. Our highest need is for the community to donate, become a member, volunteer, or simply spread the word about the need for more and safer cycling in DFW.
Mission
BikeDFW is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization whose mission is to educate, support, and promote the safe use of bicycles as an affordable, viable and sustainable means of active transportation and personal enjoyment within the Dallas-Fort Worth community.
