Cara Mia Theatre

We ask you to consider supporting our fundraising goal of raising $10,000 for the 2025 School of YES! summer camp at the Oak Cliff Cultural Center.

Cara Mía Theatre’s School of YES! is an innovative summer arts intensive for children ages seven, preparing them to be leaders and artists in our communities for generations to come.

The School of YES! (SOY) summer camp is tentatively scheduled for 19 days, from June 2 through July 27, 2025, at the Oak Cliff Cultural Center in Dallas, Texas. Daily schedules, from 9:00 AM until 4:15 PM, will include classes in Theatre, Dance, Music, and Visual Arts, with two sections of students: ages 7-10 and 11-14. A third section of 10-15 paid high school student leaders will assist Master Teaching Artists and mentor younger students in two of the aforementioned disciplines, while taking two classes in Leadership and Photography/Film, separately from the younger students.

Your contribution will support: 

• The largest Latinx theater festival in the southern United States, which includes an arts symposium providing arts management and entrepreneurial support to local and national art professionals.

• The growth of theaters and local, national, and international touring productions that represent Dallas across Latin America and Spain.

• The continued delivery of innovative programs for schools and neighborhoods throughout Dallas each season.
