CEF believes that a great education begins and ends with great teachers. Funding teachers is the most tangible way we as a community can support not only our amazing teachers but all Dragon students as well.

For the last 27 years, our focus has always been supporting the district by funding Dragon teachers, although the method of how we have done that has changed over the years.  Dragon teachers are the heartbeat of our district and it is our honor to be able to serve and celebrate each of them through CEF. We are so excited that for the first time ever ALL classroom teachers will be directly funded.

• We fund teachers through 3 pillars:
  1. Teacher Scholarships:  Teachers and Paras who are going back to school to further their education at an accredited university. Applications will open this spring.
  2. Teachers of the Year: We are going to honor these special teachers in a big way.  We are going to keep how a secret a little longer so we don’t ruin the surprise for them, but it will include a financial gift.  
  3. End-of-Year Appreciation Gift for ALL Classroom Teachers:  This gift will be a financial gift given to EVERY classroom teacher, including Librarians, CARE and ESL teachers at the end of the school year. This financial gift is not in lieu of raises or support from the district, but an additional way we as the community can support our teachers.

If every CISD family donated a minimum of $1 a day we could gift ALL teachers $2,500 at the end of the year!!  Imagine how impactful that would be for our Dragon teachers!!
