Casual Cat Charities

Casual Cat Charities is one of the main rescue partners to The Casual Cat Cafe. We not only adopt out our rescued cats at the cat cafe but we also serve our cats and other rescue's cats by being the main provider of food onsite. By doing this and supporting all the rescue cats we are able to help other rescues keep more of their funding and it also allows us to ensure a consistent diet for rescue cats while waiting for adoption. We provide a high quality diet of Acana and Weruva cat food. Food costs run about $300 per month for all cats in the cat lounge. While medical care is the responsibility of the individual sponsoring rescues we also maintain an account at nearby Penny Paws Vet Clinic and when needed and able we cover the vet costs of other rescue's cats at the cat cafe and not just medical costs of our own rescue cats. We also pay for some over the counter medicines and administer when needed to any cat at the cat cafe or at times for cats people have rescued themselves off the street.  In addition, we'd like to provide more toys and furniture for the cats to allow them to lead more full and enriched lives while at the cat cafe. 

Outside of our work with our own and other rescues cats awaiting adoption, we also use funds to help pay veterinary costs for people in need who are unable to foot an unforeseen high bill. These are people who love their cats and do not want to lose them or relinquish to a shelter but just need a little help getting over a health scare or other vetting situation. We also help people who have rescued cats off the street by covering their vet bills to get the cats ready for adoption. This really helps as we have few fosters and not much space to take in very many cats. Of course, none of this is pawsible without your contributions which we are very grateful for!!

Common Expenses

Current needs include monetary donations in any amount. A few suggestions include:
$10 donation - Feed the cats for a day 
$25 donation - Purchases 1 tube of medicated eye ointment for common cat illnesses
$75 donation - Provides food for a week and a cat toy
$100 donation - Provides food for a week and a box of cat litter
$150 donation - Provides full standard vetting for 1 cat or kitten
$300 donation - Provides one month of cat food
$500 donation - Provides one month of food, full standard vetting for 1 cat or kitten, and funds to stock our medical pantry
