Since 1966, CFGC has grown to be one of the area's most experienced, largest, and respected providers of mental healthcare. Each year, over 3000 impoverished children and family members have access to mental healthcare increasing their capacity to heal, recover and move forward with their lives. We strive to address the overwhelming plight in our community, as the fallout from the pandemic continues, unemployment, poverty, anxiety, depression, isolation, and suicide ideation area at all-time highs.
Our trauma informed care trained clinical team provide free and low fee therapy and support services to our most vulnerable. Our services of crisis intervention, therapy, psychological testing, family support and case management services are provided to Texoma children and families experiencing life’s trials and traumas.
CFGC relies heavily on donations to provide this critically needed care. Please consider a gift today.
The Child & Family Guidance Center of Texoma exists to strengthen, improve, and empower the lives of hurting Texoma children and families through compassionate and restorative mental healthcare.
Our request is to augment the funding gap for free services, sliding scale fees, and inadequate insurance reimbursement fees that do not cover the full cost of care.
Cost of care has increased substantially due to the mental health workforce shortage and technology advancements required to ensure HIPAA compliant telehealth and communication platforms. The majority of families served at CFGC live in poverty, experiencing overwhelming stress, despair, food insecurity, and high levels of trauma.
