Since our establishment in 2015, Dallas Dog has been a beacon of Hope for thousands of animals in need. With your incredible support, we've achieved what once seemed impossible.  We have rescued and provided life-saving care for over 7500 animals, found loving forever homes  for more than 6500 of them, and we have transported over 1,400 animals to safety, giving them a second chance at life. But our impact goes beyond just the animals we rescue- we're also committed to keeping families together.  Though our Community Hero Project, we've helped over 1,000 families Keep their beloved pets by providing essential support, including covering pet rent, offering food, supplies, medical care and training support. Thanks to the generosity of our supporters, we're able to extend our mission beyond our own doors, ensuring that more dogs stay in their homes with their families. We believe that no family should have to give up their pet due to unforeseen circumstances if they truly want to keep their beloved companion.

Earlier this year, we faced one of the most challenging moments in our history.  We came dangerously close to have to close our doors due to a severe lack of funds. he prospect of closing was not just terrifying for us—it was a matter of life and death for the countless animals who depend on us. Thanks to the lifeline provided by our dedicated donors, we managed to pull through. However, the reality is that our fight is far from over.              North Texas Giving Day is now more critical than ever—it’s not just a fundraiser; it’s the key to our survival.

The numbers we face are staggering, but they’re more than just statistics. They represent real lives—dogs who have been given a second chance because of the relentless efforts of our team, volunteers, and supporters. At Dallas Dog, we do more than provide a safe haven; we offer comprehensive mental and physical rehabilitation to ensure each dog has a renewed chance at a happy, fulfilling life. But without your support, this work cannot continue.

Creating change on this scale requires a collective effort. We must harness the resources of both our state and local communities, united by a shared purpose: to save as many lives as possible. We are not just rescuing animals; we are actively working to reform laws and advocate for improved animal welfare in our community. By promoting responsible pet ownership and offering support to the community, we aim to create a brighter future for animals in need. Yet, our work is far from complete—there are still countless animals out there who need our help and protection.

With North Texas Giving Day approaching, we have a chance to secure the future of Dallas Dog. This is more than just a fundraiser—it’s our lifeline. Your continued support is essential in ensuring that we can keep our doors open and continue saving lives.

Please consider making a donation to help us reach even more animals in need, providing them with the care, love, and second chances they so desperately deserve.

Thank you for standing with us, for believing in our mission, and for being the reason we can continue to make miracles happen. Together, we can ensure that Dallas Dog continues to be a place of hope, healing, and transformation for years to come.

Mission

Our mission is to RESCUE the abandoned, REHABILITATE the broken, and REFORM the community - by utilizing The Community Hero Project to keep pets and their families together. Change must begin in the community that is where we change animal welfare.

Our Vision is to construct a community that feels empowered to fight the status quo. We want families backed by the support of fellow animal advocates in times of hardship and for all animals to feel the security of a loving home.

Needs

We are looking for donations of funds and resources to help us care for more than 1,000 animals per year that are taken into our rescue. Funds can be given through NTXGD or you can purchase items in our wish list by going to dallasdog.org/amazon-wish-lists

We are always in need of fosters, especially ones willing to take medium-large breed dogs. In addition to fosters, we are looking to recruit specialized volunteers with experience in the below:
