Mentor Rocket

A nonprofit organization

Our organization partners with public high schools with low-income students and high-risk communities, to teach students life-needed skills to face real challenges in our competitive world. We do our sessions in-person, we currently work with local High Schools in the Dallas Independent School District. Education is fundamental for all, but the most vulnerable of all, are low-income students.

Our traditional school system, is not enough to prepare the minds and hearts of our youth, especially in low-income communities.

Our top program:
1. Skills that we teach: leadership, basic negotiation skills, entrepreneurship, communication skills, overcoming challenges with a positive mindset, how to prepare for a job interview, how to manage a credit card, among many other.
2. Learn from CEOs: All of our sessions are live and students have the opportunity to learn from CEOs and business owners of multimillion-dollar companies.

You can directly help underprivileged students and make a difference in their life by contributing to their education and skills that will be fundamental.

ALL OF OUR PROGRAMS ARE FREE.

Our Needs

Current needs to expand our program:
A) Developing more sessions/classes and workshops (e.g. how to manage a credit card, preparing for a job interview, financial literacy, entrepreneurship).
B) Full time coordinator to reach out to more schools.
C) Marketing: increase our market presence and community outreach.

Mission

Helping under-resourced students learn life-needed skills to thrive through mentorship programs. Students get to learn from CEO's & successful entrepreneurs skills that are usually not taught in our public schools in depth: financial literacy, learning from failure, overcoming adversity, leadership, positive mindset, how to manage a credit card, among others. Our traditional school system, is not enough to prepare the minds and hearts of our youth, on top of that, the COVID-19 pandemic is having a tremendous impact on our education system. Low-income students are the most affected, they do not learn at an early stage crucial life-skills needed to prosper, affecting on a grand scale the quality of their personal and professional life. With your contribution we will be able to expand our program to reach thousand of low-income students and provide them with the tools to thrive. All of our programs are FREE!
