Founded in 1948, Mission Oak Cliff is a dedicated nonprofit organization committed to breaking the cycle of poverty in the Oak Cliff community. With a rich history spanning over seven decades, we strive to create lasting change by addressing the fundamental needs of those experiencing hardship.
Our mission is to provide essential services and resources to individuals and families struggling with poverty, aiming to empower and uplift our community members. We envision a future where every person has access to the basic necessities of life and the opportunity to thrive.
At the heart of our efforts are two primary service initiatives designed to combat food insecurity and support those experiencing hardships:
Client's Choice Pantry
Empowering Choices: Our pantry model allows clients to select the foods that best meet their dietary needs and preferences, fostering dignity and respect.
Nutritional Support: We provide a wide range of nutritious foods, including fresh produce, dairy, and proteins.
2024 Impact Statistics:
Provided 6,300 services
Distributed 122,115 pounds of food
Homeless Services
Comprehensive Support: We offer a variety of services tailored to meet the immediate and long-term needs of the homeless population.
Resource Access: From hygiene products to referral services for housing and employment, we aim to provide holistic support.

During North Texas Giving Day, we endeavor to raise funding to increase our capacity to meet the growing needs of Oak Cliff. Our goal is to raise $100,000 to support the expansion of our programs. In addition, we hope to expand our outreach effort to people in our community by offering educational programs and workforce training. Finally, we are exploring partnerships to conduct a community needs assessment better to understand the needs of our people.
Mission Oak Cliff commits to breaking the cycle of poverty in the Oak Cliff community. As an expression of Christ's love, we improve food security, encourage meaningful relationships, & teach life skills.
