Abandoned Pet Project is dedicated to providing the funding for abandoned, abused, and homeless pets so they may receive the medical care they need. We are a non profit organization that supports a network of veterinarians, who work diligently to rehabilitate these animals so that they may go on to live happy and healthy lives in loving forever homes. Our goal is to decrease the number of animals that are euthanized due to treatable and/or curable conditions.
Abandoned Pet Project (APP) is a non-profit organization that was founded to create partnerships between animal rescue groups and veterinarians in order to work together to save lives. Its goal is to fund medical care for animals with treatable or curable conditions whom have been pulled from shelter euthanasia lists into responsible rescue partner's programs. The medical treatments of these animals are funded by APP through generous contributions made by people from all over the world. APP has three volunteer board members and it supports the treatment of homeless animals by four veterinarians. After the necessary treatment, the animals are spayed/neutered, microchipped, vaccinated and are placed up for adoption. APP currently needs funds to continue this work. In 2016 we were able to assist area rescues with $389,336 worth of veterinary care. So far this year we have been able to finance $340,263 worth of vet expenses for these rescues and believe by the end of 2017 we will have funded a total of $470,000 of abandoned pet's veterinary needs.
