Association of the United States Army (AUSA) AUSA is a non-profit professional, educational association representing America's Army on Capitol Hill and in local communities. The AUSA North Texas - Audie Murphy Chapter focuses on programs raising funds and awareness in support of "Wounded Warriors", providing educational support for Army families, and coaching, teaching and mentoring young veterans and emerging Army leaders and affordable Housing for Veterans. AUSA North Texas - Audie Murphy - Our Mission: "Providing Support to Warriors: Past-Present-and Future" Focal points include: -Support for Wounded Warriors, their Families and caregivers -Assist for Warriors in their Transition from Uniform to Civilian Life. -Coaching, teaching and mentoring the next generation of Army leaders as well as currently service soldiers and units.
The Passing the Torch Leader Development Program focuses on the development of leaders in ROTC, the U.S. Army and in the civilian sector. The primary effort is weighted toward leader development of college ROTC Cadets at universities in and around the North Texas area. We also coach, teach and mentor Active Component, U.S. Army Reserve and National Guard Soldiers in local military units, and we have special courses for civilian leaders who wish to take their businesses or government organizations to a new level of leadership awareness. The Passing the Torch Leader Development Program is immersive, interactive, memorable, and experiential. We employ leadership case studies, tactical decision games and Battlefield Leadership Experiences (BLEs) at historic locations in the US and Europe.
