BAC Education Foundation, Inc.

The BAC Education Foundation, Inc. supports the activities of the Fort Worth Business Assistance Center (BAC) and IDEA Works FW by sponsoring complementary or very low cost educational programs to small, women- and/or minority-owned businesses. This support assists BAC with a number of business development programs, as well as IDEA Works FW's programs in assisting entrepreneurial development, job creation and support of innovation-driven operations.
Website Design and On-line Programs Platform - BAC Education Foundation wishes to expand its one page on a shared website to a more informative and interactive website. We wish to share our mission, values, history, major milestones and achievements, and incorporate small business educational programs targeted for small, women- and/or minority-owned businesses to an interactive learning system. Further, a new web site will enable us to communicate with our corporate and community partners, funders and individuals who can assist with our mission. Interactive platforms with on-line training opportunities and programs for broader education outreach and outcomes, including real time capability for interaction with counselors, advisors, and mentors would benefit upcoming entrepreneurs and small business owners. Entrepreneur Summit - The BAC Education Foundation in partnership with the Fort Worth Business Press and TCU's Neeley School of Business Entrepreneurship Center will be hosting the Entrepreneur Summit in October 2017. The one day concept of networking and learning sets, will add a Pitch Night Bake-Off from the investor community. This event brings together key business and community partners and can highlight the Foundation's work and support for women and/or minority small businesses at the Fort Worth BAC and IDEA Works FW. Counseling Opportunities offers Fort Worth BAC and IDEA Works FW clients free, private & confidential counseling services with an Advisor on an array of topics, including how to write a business plan, marketing a business, and assistance with certifications - needed actions to establish/maintain a small to mid-size business. Advisors are experts in their own business areas such as commercial real estate, business and production development, human resources, banking and finance, general business and growth strategies, procurement, sales, LinkedIn development, leasing, and business process improvement.
