Child Care Associates

The mission of Child Care Associates is to assist family successes through comprehensive quality early education and development services. CCA has served over 545,000 vulnerable children since its establishment in 1968.
Chloe. Miguel. Eli. Mia. The future success of each of these children - and children across North Texas - is in many ways determined before he or she turns 8. How a child learns and develops in the early years - mentally, emotionally, and socially - is critical. This isn't a theory. It's a fact. Yet despite our ever-increasing understanding of the benefits of high-quality early learning - better health, greater academic outcomes, and higher likelihood of success in adulthood - high-quality early education programs remain both expensive and exclusive making them out of reach for most children in poverty. As the largest child development nonprofit organization in North Texas, Child Care Associates stands in the gap for children ages 0-5 from low-income and at-risk families in Tarrant County - making access to high-quality early childhood education possible. Each day, CCA helps prepare over 2,000 preschoolers and 300 infants and toddlers for success in school and life through our 23 Head Start and Early Head Start child development centers in high-poverty neighborhoods and 75 Pre-K/Head Start classrooms in partnership with eight local school districts and one charter school. CCA further connects with parents and families as essential partners in increasing children's school readiness through our evidence-based parent education. As a leader in the field of early childhood education, CCA also manages Tarrant County's Child Care Management Services (CCMS), annually serving 12,000 - 14,000 children through child care payment assistance to low-income, working parents and guiding child care quality improvement activities countywide. Overall, CCA reaches more than half of the population of young children living in poverty in Tarrant County each year. Children like Chloe, Miguel, Eli, and Mia. With your help, we can continue making a lifetime of difference for these children and the ones to come.
