The mission of ChristianWorks is to represent the goodness of God to children and their families by continuing Jesus Christ's example of service. Through ten ministries we reach out to children and families. AdoptionWorks provides a full range of adoption services. As a licensed child placing agency we have been placing children in adoptive homes for 50 years. We also offer post adoptive services including counseling and free support groups for adoptees and their adoptive parents. CounselingWorks is a Christian counseling program for individuals, couples and families. We have 30 counselors with unique specialties to reach a broad range of clients. Our specialties include marriage counseling and Theraplay for children as young as two years old. GriefWorks is a free support group for children who have experienced the death of a loved one. We also offer an adult grief support group called Love Never Dies. Through a partnership with The Moyer Foundation, we host Camp Erin DFW each summer, a 3-day bereavement camp for children who have experienced the death of someone close to them. KIDWorks is a free support group for children who are struggling with the divorce of their parents, and Just Family is a supportive place for blending families to be "just family". In each of our support groups for children and teens we aim to create a safe environment where children can share their personal story. By normalizing their experience, we can help these children know they are not alone. CareWorks helps orphans in developing countries through partnerships with supporting churches and non-profits. We provide financial support, counseling and training for organizations in Cambodia, El Salvador, Ghana and Honduras. Becoming Mom offers free counseling, classes & mentoring to pregnant women and encourages them in their journey to becoming successful parents. Through each of the ministries at ChristianWorks, we can provide help to children and families who are facing life's toughest challenges.
Our support groups for children and teens are completely free to families. Almost half of the children we serve in these programs come from low-income households. We do not want financial obstacles to prevent those who have experienced a recent trauma and/or loss from seeking help. This year we have expanded our services by opening a second office in South Fort Worth. This will double our ability to reach local children and families with these ministries. Gifts made on North Texas Giving Day will help ChristianWorks continue to offer free services to children and families in Dallas & Tarrant County. We are walking alongside children and teens as they face challenging and difficult circumstances. By offering them support in these trying times, we can help them grow into adults who will live well and love well. By making a donation on North Texas Giving Day, you can help children and teens find the support they need.
