The Community Care Center of Dallas seeks to end hunger for seniors in West Dallas by providing fresh food and vegetables on a weekly basis. For many seniors a trip to the grocery store is an unthinkable task due to physical limitations. For others buying fresh fruit and vegetables is a luxury due to limited income. This is why the Community Care Center's food pantry is important in communities like West Dallas- to serve as a intermediary organization that makes us the nutrition gap in most seniors diets. Currently the food pantry feeds over 12,000 seniors annually.
Due to the increasing demand from seniors in West Dallas, the Community Care Center of Dallas will be expanding and updating refrigeration.
