The Crow Collection of Asian Art shall honor the vision, generosity of spirit and collecting tradition of Trammell and Margaret Crow. Mr. and Mrs. Crow's love of the applied arts of Asia shall be communicated to the general public by exhibiting, preserving, collecting, interpreting and researching original works of art. The museum shall strive for maximum visitorship. Through innovative programs, the museum shall work to advance an understanding of the meanings and values embodied in the Asian artistic traditions. This is a fund at Communities Foundation of Texas.
This year, all donations made to the Crow Collection of Asian Art on North Texas Giving Day will help support our museum’s mission to provide free access to the arts and cultures of Asia. Last year, more than 265,000 visitors enjoyed free admission to a variety of programs and events including, our annual cultural community festivals, family days, school and educator programs, and tours. All free to our community!
Over the course of 2017, we opened our doors to five local Asian artists to offer innovative and diverse programming to new audiences. We want to continue and expand these efforts to engage local Asian artists and give them a platform to showcase their art, heritage, culture, and perspectives to the North Texas community and beyond.
