The mission of the Dallas Arboretum and Botanical Garden is to build and maintain a public venue that promotes the art, enjoyment, and knowledge of horticulture, while providing opportunities for education and research. The Arboretum is committed to excellence, sound management, and fiscal responsibility.
The Dallas Arboretum is stunningly beautiful. More than 1,000,000 visitors from across the nation and 90 countries enjoy our gardens, blooms, festivals, programs, and activities each year AND WE GROW MINDS, TOO! At the heart of our mission are more than 100,000 children taking part in our year-round life and earth science programs and activities.
Science literacy is a child's most powerful resource in today's technology-fueled competitive world. The Dallas Arboretum provides exciting, effective life and earth science learning environments and curricula that equip students in grades K-6 with TEKS-aligned science essentials. We make the living world relatable, big concepts understandable, and problem-solving second-nature.
The Arboretum's science education and enrichment programs are outdoors, interactive, and inquiry-based. Our curricula is based on TEKS requirements, Next Generation Science Standards, STEAM-based activities, and hands-on exploration. Independent evaluations continue to show statistically-significant numbers of students gaining clarity, knowledge, and confidence in their understanding and interest in the life and earth sciences.
Won't you help us provide thousands of Title I school students' access to the programs and field trips, bus transportation, and the knowledge vital to their academic journey and future? Thank you for your investment in the future.
