The Dallas Police Cycling Team's (DPCT) mission is to honor our fallen brothers and sisters in law enforcement. They made the ultimate sacrifice in protecting our communities and we honor them by cycling in their memory so that their ultimate sacrifices are not forgotten. The DPCT, through charitable donations, will achieve this goal by participating in local, state and national cycling events. The HALOS ( Honoring And Loving Our Survivors) fund was established to directly assist and support the survivors of Dallas Police Officers who have died in the line of duty. Our vision is to provide assistance to families of fallen Officers by providing both financial and emotional support on a year round basis. Our financial expectations range from college scholarships to providing home maintenance projects both big and small.
The Cycling Team is looking to purchase a diesel shuttle bus that will be used to transport team members to various events around the Country. The shuttle bus will be used to transport our families of fallen Dallas Officers to different events throughout the year. Our vision is to be able to take the families to water parks for the day, sporting events, paintball fields, concerts, etc. We are also preparing for the 2018 Police Unity Your and plan on sending 10-15 riders to Richmond Virginia where they will cycle for 3-days to Washington DC. This trip costs the cycling team around $26,000.00 and all proceeds go to the Officer Down Memorial Fund. to honor our fallen brothers and sisters in law enforcement. They made the ultimate sacrifice in protecting our communities and we honor them by cycling in their memory so that their ultimate sacrifices are not forgotten.
