We are a group of Dowell parents and community members who are passionate about helping create a FANTASTIC EXPERIENCE for ALL of our Dowell Band students, and we do this through partnership with all of you!
The BPO focuses on providing financial support to help cover things like music competition entrance fees & student bus transportation; paying for visiting Master Class teachers, and music competition judges for contests held at Dowell; contributing to misc. Band program enhancements, such as new A/V equipment not paid for by the McKinney school district; providing supplemental coverage of fees for Band families with demonstrated financial need; and organizing volunteer staffing for various Band events throughout the year, to help insure event success.

We are most in need of your FINANCIAL GIFTS to help us achieve our mission of creating a great experience for ALL of our kids. Almost 30% of our Band students are enrolled in the free or reduced school lunch program, which means that our ability to provide supplemental funding is especially critical for these Band families.
