We educate, motivate and inspire all ages in North Texas by presenting aviation and space flight history and innovation through our comprehensive exhibits, collections, programming and STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Math) curriculum.
All funds raised will go towards our New Exploration Space Initiative. This initiative has three main components, "SPOC" (Space Portal Odyssey Capsule) portable planetarium, the plans to build an all new Space Flight Gallery that is interactive, and the Space Video Series. SPOC was launched in 2016 and provides educational programming in the subject areas of astronomy, earth science, and space science. SPOC outreach programming serves low-income, underserved children primarily from the Dallas ISD. The new interactive Space Flight Gallery will build on the Museum's collection of space-related items. The Space Video Series, coming soon, will be available to teachers to use through a secured online portal that allows streaming into the classroom.
