The mission of La Buena Vida Youth Leadership Foundation is to empower today's at-risk and homeless youth to become the great leaders of tomorrow. In November 2015, we opened La Buena Vida House in Irving for at risk and homeless young men who are working to graduate school but have no parental support or oversight. While in our transitional living home and attending school, they are provided leadership skills, financial literacy, mentoring, tutoring and life skills.
La Buena Vida Youth Leadership Foundation has created the La Buena Vida Housing program in Irving for 10-12 homeless or at-risk high school students, ages 18-21, that are trying to graduate from high school. The program began in November 2015 and have been able to support 18 students so far that had no where stable to live and 8 so far have completed their high school education and graduated. We will need help with the program expenses such as rent, utilities and supplying the students with their daily needs (food, medical care, school supplies, toiletries, clothing) as they work towards graduating and continuing their education. It is on average $2000 a month for every apartment of 4 students that we house and support.
