Lake Area Shared Ministries Food Pantry, Quinlan

In recognition of God's concern for the needy, we exist to assist the Hunt County area residents who need assistance feeding themselves and/or their families.
Lake Area Shared Ministries Food Pantry is run entirely by dedicated volunteers and has been in operation since 2001 servicing the Hunt county area. Being open 4 mornings a week, in 2015 we provided food and assistance to 6,750 individuals (over 2700 food boxes) of which over 1300 seniors and 1669 children were served. In addition we provided 218 Thanksgiving and Christmas meals. We have an on-going need for funds to meet overhead expenses in addition to purchasing food from the North Texas Food Bank. In addition to basic needs, we are in need of additional funds for parking lot repairs and expansion. When it rains, we are limited on where our volunteers and clients can park without getting stuck. We have been in our current building for 4 years and are outgrowing it. We are looking at possible ways to expand and improve services. We would also like to grow our emergency fund. Thank you for considering us.
