The mission of MADE in Texas Assistance Dogs is to train and place high caliber service dogs of all types to adults and children with disabilities in order to help them gain greater independence. We are committed to providing service dogs to the person in need and remaining a support resource throughout the working life of the team, while also increasing public awareness about the different types of disabilities and service dogs, and how these dogs assist their partners.
MADE is always in need of financial donations of any size, supplies for the dogs, and passionate volunteers! Our goal this year is to raise enough funds to purchase property to build our own facility, and we greatly appreciate any assistance you can provide. In the volunteer sphere, we need volunteer puppy raisers to assist in socializing and training our dogs for the first year of their lives, puppy sitters to act as temporary raisers when the primary trainer is unavailable (puppy sitter commitments range from 1-5 days), and general volunteers to assist with educational presentations and events. Our dogs appreciate donations of treats of any kind, toys such as kongs or nylabones, and grooming supplies such as shampoo, conditioner, brushes, and furminators. We thank you for your generosity, and for helping us to Make Assistance Dogs Easy for children and adults with disabilities!
