Metrocare Services

To serve our neighbors with developmental or mental health challenges by helping them find lives that are meaningful and satisfying.
Behavioral issues for children in Dallas County continue to rise. At Metrocare, we provide individualized services for children, adolescents, and their families to improve their experiences at school, at home, and in the community. With our three Centers for Children with Autism, our four Child & Adolescent mental health centers, home-based programs and services, Metrocare offers a wide range of services to address the needs of children birth through teen years. Results achieved through Metrocare include: 1) Nonverbal children speak for the first time; 2) Expelled children return to the classroom and excel; 3) Children learn to use words instead of violence; and 4) Youth gain social skills to make their first friend. In addition to serving children and adolescents, Metrocare serves over 30,000 adults each year with mental health and developmental disabilities, primary care, housing, and supportive services.
