Red Oak Makerspace is a membership-based, do-it-yourself, non-profit workshop that will provide members with the use of tools & equipment to make things they have always wanted. This group of local artists, engineers, makers, creators, & thinkers will work together to collect tools & resources for our membership, who could not otherwise afford, store, or use them individually. Members use these resources to collaborate on individual & community projects in order to promote & encourage technical, scientific, & artistic skills through individual projects, social collaboration, & education. Classes will be offered in the makerspace to enhance creativity in making & to add vibrancy to an already creative community. This learning environment rich with possibilities will serve as a gathering point where communities of new & experienced makers connect to work on real and personally meaningful projects, informed by helpful mentors & expertise, using new technologies and traditional tools.
