The mission of Runnin Free Ranch (RFR) is to provide a non-judgmental, non-pressured environment where veterans, at-risk youth, children with special needs and their families can experience freedom, hope and positive life-giving relationships through the facilitation of equine assisted activities and counseling. All our services are free of charge.
Time at RFR is individually tailored to fit the need of each person or group and is facilitated by a mental health professional, equine expert and rescued horse(s).
It is the belief of RFR that the human/horse relationship experience can help those affected by trauma, depression, anxiety, etc, examine their human relationship patterns.
Other equine assisted activities can be used as possible metaphors, that relate to a person's own life experience and story.
Runnin Free Ranch has doubled in the number of participants it has served from 2016 to mid year of 2017. Because we are unable to expand our facility in our current location we are seeking to relocate. A facility that will meet our current and future needs costs approximately $200,000 and this year we are asking you to give to help us accomplish this goal. Runnin Free Ranch also needs continued financial support to meet the ongoing costs of horse care and program expenses. Please partner with us to help us expand our services to meet the growing needs of our community and give more forever homes to more rescued horses that participate in our equine programs.
