The Welman Project's mission is to connect schools and nonprofits with the community in ways that ignite creativity, environmental activism, and social responsibility. We serve as a free resource, distributing surplus materials from local companies for creative reuse in the classroom and beyond. The Welman Project exists because we believe that using innovative conservation skills to enhance the learning experience empowers young people to become the confident, resourceful, and socially engaged future leaders our world needs.
We need a mobile warehouse, so that we can pull up to schools and invite teachers onboard to select supplies for their classrooms. We would like to use an old school bus for this, and transform it with the help of FWISD students, providing a learning experience for them as well! We also need a building to house our inventory, and to serve as a free tool library and creative reuse workshop space.
