The issue:
You see them every day, standing on the street corner, sleeping under the overpass or hiding in the woods. We have been seeking to better understand who our homeless neighbors are and what we can do as a community to help those in real need. Through this process, we have learned that homelessness is not always caused by bad luck or a series of poor life choices, but additionally the significant loss of family and community connection is a major contributing factor that not only lands our neighbors on the streets but often keeps them there for many years. Denton area neighbors, we can be a community that cares enough to provide our homeless neighbors with a home and the support they need as they restore their lives.
Community Forever Village is a 73-acre master-planned community in Denton County, Texas that will serve the formerly chronically homeless. Using a proven approach, Community Forever Village aims to cultivate community and empower its residents to discover a life of belonging and dignity while providing permanent, alternative, supportive housing for those men and women suffering chronic homelessness in our community.
We have secured land and submitted our application to the city of Denton requesting approval for a planned development. The village development plan includes 350 micro homes and an extraordinarily broad spectrum of services for community residents, including on-site missionals living alongside our neighbors, a community market, community center, and communal kitchens and laundry facilities, just to name a few.

Help Us Transform Our Future Administrative Hub! The 1988 House needs a facelift! Our plan is to use this building as our initial administrative building so we can meet with donors and volunteers on the property where they can view the amazing opportunity they have to bring the chronically homeless into a place of community. This is an important first milestone towards developing the Village and would not be possible without the support of generous donors like you!
