The contribution you make through the North Texas Giving Day campaign will give us the resources to hire and maintain a staff of highly qualified professionals; provide compensation for lower-level employees to offset inflation; and help cover ongoing – but equally important – operational expenses.

While many of you may be familiar with 29 ACRES; some of you may not. Our organization was founded by a group of parents who share our concern about the future of our neurodiverse young adults as they ‘age out’ of the school system.

We are not alone. Every year, 60,000 neurodiverse children in the United States experience the ‘aging out’ transition to adulthood, many of whom do not have support systems in place to ensure that it’s a smooth journey.

When we discovered that there is a tremendous need in North Texas communities, we decided to create an independent living community that is paired with a full suite of high-quality, multi-level services so that young adults and adults with neurodiversity will have an opportunity to experience an independent and fulfilling life.

Mission

MISSION: To ensure that people living with autism have a safe and vibrant place to live where opportunity and happiness are the standard.

VISION: 29 Acres uses an evidence-based approach in housing design and individualized supports that ensures meaningful growth in employment, independence and wellness while developing community, fostering friendships and a deep sense of belonging.
