Children on the Mend Inc. (COTM) a non-profit (501 c 3) organization was launched in 2000 as an intervention/prevention advocacy and mentoring agency for youth and young adults.  Our board is comprised of diverse backgrounds with thirty plus years of legal, criminal justice, educators, social services and administrative corporate backgrounds.

COTM is a community-based program.  Through our services we demonstrate the importance of giving back through partnerships with Juvenile Justice, and Young Adult Parole and Probation programs, and while these are major contributors, we have fostered relationships over the years with many other community base agencies and reentry services.  Our agency provides comprehensive, pre-and post-case management plans that directly address the individually identified needs, of each client (s).  Today's youth and young adults are easily influenced by social media platforms, they often face volatile emotions, and are more likely to act out.

COTM's specialty is caring for youth and young adults, it serves as a hub to help them overcome negative behavior by providing cognitive-behavioral training to enhance better decision making, improve their self-esteem, and coping with stress.  Over the years our community outreach includes in-school and after school mentoring, Christmas Angel Tree (Christmas Gifts for indigent families), Back-to-School Fairs, Community Service Projects, field trips to local professional games (Mavericks and Big 3), higher education scholarships, and an expanded effort to raise public health awareness by hosting FREE community Health Fairs.   Your donated dollars have helped us served over 1500 students with Back-to-School supplies since 2016 - 2023; 800 children with Angel Tree Christmas toys since 2016 - 2023.  Our community health fair initiatives have yield over 412 children's immunizations and 332 adult COVID and 118 Flu shots since 2021.
