Alliance Francaise Dallas

The Alliance Française de Dallas is a dynamic educational and cultural 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that aims to promote the French language and Francophone cultures throughout the metroplex. Incorporated in Texas in 1972, the Alliance is one of the many Alliances Françaises across the globe — 829 in 135 countries, and more than 100 in the USA alone.

At AF Dallas, we offer French language classes for all ages and levels taught by native and certified French instructors. We are the only testing center in Texas offering official certifications such as DELF, TEF and DFP taken by those who wish to study abroad or pursue professional goals. 

We also participate and host various French related cultural activities to the Dallas-Fort Worth area, such as concerts, book clubs, lectures, movie screenings, wine tastings, cooking classes, and immersive workshops. Some of our most recent events include book signings and Q&A session with the writers Alain Mabanckou or Colombe Schneck., and the first Fête de la Musique in DFW. Our upcoming event, a Symposium about "La Réunion colony", in partnership with the City of Dallas, will celebrate the French cultural and economic Heritage of the city.

Whether you are a native or fluent French speaker, a student of the language, or an interested non-French speaker, we encourage EVERYONE in the North Texas community to participate in our wide range of French classes and cultural activities offered throughout the year! 

Our Needs

This year, we have ambitious goals for AF Dallas and we need your help to reach those: 

• Hybrid learning equipment for our classrooms including computer and video technology, microphone, collaborative software: $3,500
• Create a grant fund to help low-income income students and families to take and attend French classes: $1,500
• Library resources: $1,000
• Sponsor school visits events and French related activities for students of all ages: $1,000
• Host cultural events including the second Francophonie Festival and the second edition of the Fete de la Musique: $3000

As a non-governmental organization, your contributions go directly to our teachers, staff, and necessary materials so we can provide high-quality French courses and meaningful cultural events. The Alliance Française de Dallas needs YOU and relies on your support!
