The Allen Community Band (ACB) was established in 2013 as a non-profit organization with two objectives:
* Give adult musicians opportunities to learn new music and improve musical skills, and
* Provide quality musical performances for Allen and surrounding communities.
The ACB is comprised of all volunteers - band members, board members, and directors. Our volunteers are all different ages, skill levels, and backgrounds. We rehearse weekly and truly enjoy the community and building relationships with other adults who love music.
We perform a variety of music throughout the season - patriotic, holiday, pop, movies & musicals, symphonic, marches, and more!
The ACB Concert Band performs primarily at the beautiful Lowery Freshman Center Auditorium. We also perform yearly for the City of Allen Arbor Day Celebration.
The ACB Jazz Band performs in a variety of locations including the Allen Public Library, Allen Senior Recreation Center, Allen Flag Day Celebration, and the annual Chamber of Commerce Gala.
The ACB also has several smaller ensembles including a brass choir, clarinet choir, saxophone ensemble, and horn choir.
The ACB strives to make music accessible to everyone. All of our concerts are family-friendly and free to attend.
Mission
The mission of the Allen Community Band is:
* to give adult musicians opportunities to learn new music and improve musical skills, and
* to provide quality musical performances for Allen and surrounding communities.
Needs
Our greatest need for the 2024-2025 season is to cover the cost of rehearsal space and performance venue rentals.
Other needs include purchasing new music, printing concert programs for each of our performances, and operating expenses such as insurance and storage facility rental.

The Allen Community Band (ACB), founded in 2013, is a non-profit volunteer instrumental musical organization open to adult residents of Allen and surrounding communities regardless of age, gender, ethnicity, economic status, or veteran status.
