At AMAZING CARE we provide quality affordable residential care to disabled, displaced, veterans, victims of domestic abuse, or persons reentering society from the armed forces, an institution, or incarceration. Amazing Care, Texas chartered in 2015 as a non-profit organization. We have been providing residential care services in North Texas since 2016. We are recognized by the IRS as a 501(c)3 entity. 100% of our board members support our mission, vision and goals.
Persons do not become homeless in a vacuum. Often there are multiple reasons that a person becomes homeless. Research shows that the longer a person remains homeless, the cost of ending homelessness for that individual increases (Substance Abuse Mental Health Administration, 2019). Typical transition home programs provide housing for 24 months (North Carolina Coalition to End Homelessness, 2019). By addressing and resolving immediate and long-term barriers causing homelessness, our residents are able to move from dependency to independent living in less time (12 months) and remain independently living for the long-term.
We are more than just a bed and meals. We are concerned with meeting the holistic needs of each resident. Our case managers connect our residents with the resources and people to meet the physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual needs. Our goal is to provide a safe haven for persons who are disabled, displaced, homeless, victims of domestic abuse, or American Veterans while connecting and directing them to the proper agencies that will provide the foundation for each resident to live independently. Our convenient location in Forest Hill, Texas allows us to run daily routes to and from the VA Fort Worth Outpatient Clinic, Fort Worth Resource Connection and Tarrant County Community College. While at Amazing Care, case management will provide a place for information to assist them in short and long term goals.
Amazing Care currently serves 29 residents with transitional housing. All of the clients of our program are classified as homeless-sheltered. This means that if our program did not exist, then the residents of this program would have no other place to go and would be living on the streets.
