Animal Hope is a Fort Worth rescue that gives second-chance animals the time, medical care, and training they need to find homes. We focus on the dogs and cats that high-volume shelters often cannot place—animals with traumatic injuries, heartworm, or behavioral needs that require more support than a typical municipal shelter can provide.
Through our long-standing partnership with Animal Hospital Southwest, we are able to provide significant medical interventions that would otherwise be out of reach. Once animals are healthy and stable, we work to match them with the right families in a low-stress environment and support new adopters with training, education, and post-adoption care.
While our primary focus is at-risk animals from North Texas shelters, we have also taken in more than 100 dogs from international partners and placed a number of dogs into service-dog training programs.
Mission
Our organization rescues, rehabilitates and rehomes at-risk animals from high volume shelters. Our organization seeks to make animal adoption more accessible to the average family by providing a low stress environment to meet animals, matching animals to appropriate families, and promoting responsible pet ownership practices through training, education, and post-adoption care.
Needs
Our primary organizational goals include:
1) construction / infrastructure improvements to our facility, which is a repurposed animal hospital that needs some rehabilitation to streamline processes and improve standards of care
2) implementation of a training program for dogs based on time on shelter and perceived adoptability
