Our Needs
A Rottie Rescue, Inc. is a Medical Rescue for the Rottweiler Breed. Every month we bring into Rescue, Rottweilers that would have died in Texas shelters and on Texas streets just because they were critically injured or critically ill. Please, we are always in need of funds for initial Emergency Hospital exams and diagnostics, i.e. bloodwork and x-rays as well as the life saving blood transfusions and the very expensive oxygen needs. It is common for many of our Rotties to be hospitalized in ICU for several days or weeks before they are ready to leave the hospital. Our Rotties have broken bones when they come into Rescue usually from being shot or run over having been left to die without our help. These types of traumatic injuries often require very expensive Complex Orthopedic Surgeries and expensive amputations if the limb cannot be saved. Please, we so need immediate funds on hand to be able to provide Emergency Medical and ongoing medical care to help more Rotties with these types of injuries as well as the ones experiencing severe breathing problems requiring oxygen, please.
We can save more Rottweilers if we have your help through Donations to have immediate funds on hand for all of our Emergency Cases which are about 99% of the Rotties we bring into Rescue.
In addition to the above needs, we also have our paid transport costs for bringing critically injured and critically ill Rotties up to Fort Worth TX from Houston, San Antonio and the Texas/Mexico border. The stray Rotties we bring into Rescue from the deep South Texas shelters and streets, together with the ones from the border fields come to us not vetted. This means the costs of vaccines, heartworm tests, parasite treatment, microchipping, spay and neuter surgeries are all borne 100% by us. Please, funds are always needed to provide this care.
Thank you for reading our Needs for North Texas Giving Day and please send a Donation to help our precious Rottweilers, so that no Texas Rottweiler has to die in a Texas shelter or on a Texas street just because they were injured or sick.
