We are all about Youth and the Arts!!!ArtsVision Performing and Visual Arts is a Texas based 501(c)(3) designated non-profit organization; serving youth in the greater Dallas/Fort Worth area. We have been serving youth in the Dallas Arts District since 2014. In the past 11 years, we have served over 2,000 youth. Our instructors are professional teaching artists, community artists, presenters, and volunteers who have a passion for youth and the arts.
Our collaborative partners are Dallas City of Learning, Big Thought, St. Paul United Methodist Church, Arts District Chorale, and Inspiration, Inc. Booker T. Washington High School has been our home for over 10 years, but due to ongoing construction, we have had to seek a new location. We are so excited about our new partnership with East Dallas Community Church and thankful for their providing space for camp this past summer.
ArtsVision programs include: ArtsVision Saturday Kids (Monthly, Feb-June) ArtsVision: Summer Musical Theater Day Camp (June-August), ArtsVision High School Volunteer and Internship Program (May-August)
ArtsVision Saturday Kids: A weekend workshop featuring Visual Arts, Creative Drama, Puppetry, African Drumming, Guitar Workshops, Dance Movement, Dance, Film & Media, and a Vocal Workshop by volunteers of the Arts District Choral. ArtsVision Saturday Kids provide Pop-up activities in various communities around Dallas…focusing on under served communities.
ArtsVision Summer Visual & Performing Arts Camp: It is a three-week intensive visual and performing arts program, for rising 3rd through 10th grade students. In the 2024 season, we served over 30 young artists in dance, vocal and instrumental music, technical theater, film and media. This pat summer we presented the Disney Musical “Into the Woods, Jr.” as our culminating summer program.
ArtsVision High School Volunteer Internship Program: This program is for high school students who may be considering going into the arts as a performer, arts professional, or educator. Students are invited to apply to be an intern for the two-week summer intensive program. Interns also volunteer for the ArtsVision After School, Saturday Kids, or other outreach programs or activities. Interns not only earn valuable experience, they also shadow an arts professional for 4 weeks. We will interview for 10 volunteer intern positions for each year's summer camp. Interns can earn up to 100 community service hours during the summer.
