Asha Partners empowers North Texans for outreach to the unreached through volunteer opportunities and our annual conference in May, which brings internationally acclaimed experts to equip North Texans. Volunteers from across North Texas help share awareness of our mission through events, including and our annual gala. Our mission mobilizes North Texans to give to empower people living in extreme poverty.
Asha Partners’ methods for tackling poverty are holistic and self-sustaining. Through micro-loans as small as $120, we help the impoverished (mostly women) kickstart small businesses like chicken farms and handicraft production, creating lasting economic stability for families. As these loans are repaid, they cycle back to help others, magnifying our impact.
Further economic development and provision of nutritious food is made possible by our fish farm - the largest of its kind in the region. The fish farm provides jobs, food, and supplies so more people can start their own aquaculture businesses.
In education, we bridge gaps by establishing free village schools where none exist, ensuring every child has the opportunity to learn and thrive. Additionally, we provide vital healthcare access by building health centers in remote areas and upgrading hospital standards, saving lives and improving well-being.
During crises like recent dengue fever outbreaks, our swift humanitarian aid brings relief and support. Lastly, we extend a compassionate hand through faith-based outreach, nurturing spiritual well-being alongside physical and economic empowerment.
