Who We Are

About Brynn

Courageous. Faithful. Confident. Sassy. Loyal. Big Hearted. Beautiful. Creative. Zealous. Protective. Bright. Heroic. Irreplaceable.

Brynn was a bright light to everyone lucky enough to meet her during her time here on Earth. She is now our Chief Operating Angel guiding us in all that we do to help other children during the same fight that she fought for over a third of her lifetime.

Brynn was sweet and sass all wrapped up into one while being a fierce competitor on the soccer field and volleyball court. She brought a drive that was innate and unmatched to the field. We hope to bring that same drive to ensure families can live as Brynn did during her fight against cancer.

Brynn chose to live during this diagnosis. She chose to have Nerf fights with nurses and make the most of her time here. Now, we are charged to do the same.

The Challenge We Face

Watching Brynn endure brutal treatment options was heart-wrenching, especially knowing that the frontline treatments have not been updated since 1987. Childhood cancer remains the #1 disease killer of children, yet only 4% of U.S. federal funding is dedicated to childhood cancer research. This stark reality means it’s often up to the families of these little fighters to fund the much-needed research.

Brynn is our why.

Mission

Battle Brynn Foundation seeks to fund research and create special experiences for families battling childhood cancer.

Also, to provide comfort and hope to children battling cancer through our Brynn Bundles.

We aim to support these brave warriors and their families, ensuring they have the resources and experiences needed to feel uplifted and cherished.

Needs

Brynn Bundles are thoughtfully curated care packages designed to provide comfort and support to warriors at Cook Children’s Hospital. Each bundle includes a cozy blanket, a soothing sound machine, a large drinking cup, and a notebook. These items were chosen to offer a sense of comfort and normalcy amidst the storm of a diagnosis.

Warrior Experiences:

Brynn was blessed with many experiences that allowed her to live fully through her treatment, giving her the chance to feel like a "normal" teenager despite the challenges. Her journey has inspired us to create these bundles and to uplift the spirits of other warriors through similar experiences.

A safe space for families and friends of those who are battling childhood cancer. Coming together as a community with similar experiences to allow these young minds to process some very hard and traumatic circumstances. Empowering our youth to take action in compassion.

Equity Statement

At the Battle Brynn Foundation, we are committed to fostering a diverse, equitable, and inclusive environment where every employee, customer, and community member feels valued and respected. We recognize the systemic inequities that exist in our society and pledge to actively challenge and dismantle these barriers within our organization and beyond.

We strive to create a culture where diverse perspectives are not only welcomed but are essential to our success. We are dedicated to continuous learning and improvement, holding ourselves accountable through transparent reporting and regular evaluations. Together, we can create a more just and equitable world for everyone.
