Beekeepers for Veterans Inc

Our mission at Beekeepers for Veterans, Inc. is to provide each Veteran we sponsor with the protective clothing, equipment, supplies, bees, hive, and education they need to become hobby beekeepers.

Studies conducted through the VA show bees help with PTSD, anxiety, and traumatic brain injury. When taking care of the hive, Veterans can focus and relax plus they feel more productive. Additionally, they are able to shut off their outside thoughts and current problems and think about what is happening now, at that moment, with the bees.

We saw firsthand the effects the bees had on our son after returning home from Afghanistan. He would sit outside watching the bees come and go. He was present. He was engaged. He was excited. We want to help as many Veterans as possible.
