Our rescue is able to save the lives of many Weimaraners in Texas, by taking them in from shelter environments where euthanasia is often imminent. In addition to being connected to shelters, our owner surrender program provides a resource for people needing to rehome Weims and helps to keep them out of shelters. We provide full medical support for all dogs that come into our rescue. This has been anything from vetting needs, spay/neuter, and any surgeries needed. The rescue makes every effort to give dogs a safe, secure, and loving foster home for the rehabilitation and any training and behavior support the dogs may need.
This breed is a very misunderstood breed, they have specific exercise and training requirements and are not a good fit for everyone. prior to bringing any dog into your home as a pet, much research should be done to make sure your lifestyle matches the breed.
All of our volunteers love this breed and are dedicated to making a difference in the lives of the dogs that we are able to save through our rescue.
Our Needs
All donations will go towards vetting, medical care, food, and toys. Donations will also help with any medical need of any dog we take in to help treat dogs with heartworms. Fostering is a huge need within our rescue and is what enables us to help more dogs. We have had many medical needs this past year and all funds help to rehab our sweet dogs and get them into a loving home, their forever home. We also offer gas money to those who assist with the transport of the dogs out of shelters and into their foster homes.
